Kevin Jones is an Associate Professor of Jazz Trombone at Florida State University College of Music, where he teaches jazz history, ensembles, graduate improvisation, and applied lessons.

A versatile performer, he has collaborated with icons like Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Joshua Redman, Joe Lovano, Burt Bacharach, and Barry Manilow, among others, and served as a featured artist for Princess Cruise Lines.

An active educator and clinician, Dr. Jones has presented at major conferences including the Jazz Education Network and International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers, and served as an adjudicator nationally and internationally. He is also an accomplished saxophonist, with credits including the South Carolina Philharmonic.

A Conn-Selmer artist playing King 3B trombones, Jones released the duo album Singularity with pianist Bill Peterson on Centaur Records in 2021.
